Slow, flowing, gentle, but at the same time with a touch of calm power, this is Slow Flow Yoga.
Slower yoga has, in some respects, more traditional roots that return to Viniyoga (Desikachar, the founder). This style usually provides asanas that range from gentle to challenging, in stable, self-centering energy. The pace of this lesson is, of course, slower, and the emphasis is on maintaining the balance of slow breathing with movement.
This slower pace definitely contributes to the meditative practices of mindfulness and conscious breathing. This makes the lesson especially suitable for newer students or for those who want a deep concentration in their yoga practice.
